*The first Starfire models that were produced had a red finish. From 1962, three other colours were introduced: emerald green, ebony grain and honey amber. The green and black models were stained so the grain showed through, but they tended to fade under UV exposure, as this example as. The original strong black finish is visible under the bridge and pickguard, as it would have been seen originally.
