Fine English eight day ormolu travelling strut clock by and signed Thomas Cole circa 1850, the 2" silvered chapter ring enclosing a finely engraved foliate centre and within a finely engraved foliate ormolu mask, the back fitted with a hinged door revealing the escapement with fast/slow lever, within an oval casing on swivel cheval supports over the shaped rectangular base fitted to the front with a finely engraved silvered rectangular panel behind bevelled glass, surrounded by further engraved gilded decoration and fitted to the base with a swivel strut support and surmounted by a ring handle; also with the original fitted shaped Morocco leather travelling case with blue velvet lined interior and original winding key
