Mid-18th century English silver pair cased verge pocket watch, London 1753, the fusee movement signed Jn. Markham, London, no. 1165, with unusual pierced and engraved foliate balance bridge, three-am balance, silver regulating disc and fancy pillars, signed champlevé dial with Roman numerals outer Arabic minute chapter, date aperture with a cherub standing to one side, gilt 'beetle and poker' hands, matching cases, case maker 'TS' (possibly Thomas Sones), 55mm; with key (no glass, requires attention)

Movement - requires attentions not not running consistently, the date appearing to advance correctly, but may well require a service to make the running consistent.
Dial - good general condition - se image.
Glass - we have supplied a bull-eye glass, but please note this is loose and not quite the correct size, but offers protection.
Hands - good, surface marks.
Case - the inner case with bruise marks, the bezel not snapping shut correctly, the outer case with some bruising, the release catch is worn - see images.
