*This violoncello is sold with a silver and nickel mounted violoncello bow faintly stamped Weichold, Dresden; also with another silver and nickel mounted violoncello bow, unstamped
**The instrument is accompanied with an appraisal for the purpose of probate from Bromptons Auctioneers Limited dated 10th August 2022; also included are a purchase receipt from Messrs. F. Lant. London for £40 pounds dated 20th October 1955 and an insurance valuation from David E. Vernon of Manchester for £2000 dated 2nd March 1984
The general condition appears reasonable with expected wear and tear for age, there are several stress fractures running under and adjacent to the tailpiece on the table, no other serious damage evident. See images for guidance, personal viewing advised.
