Fine French violin by and labelled Emile Mennesson, dit Guarini, Luthier (A Sainte-Cecile) á Reims, 2 Medailles d'or Decoration de L'ordre Royl, ou Christ de Portugal, Annee 1903, no. 2697; also bearing the maker's monogram in ink on the label, the one piece back of faint medium curl with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a fine width grain slightly widening to the flanks and the varnish of a light reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 13 15/16", 35.40cm
This violin appears to be in excellent condition with only very minor scratches and bruising consistent with age and playing, see images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible
