17th/18th century oak coffer, the three panelled hinged cover enclosing an open interior with candle box, over a two panelled front with carved medallion decoration, 41" wide, 20" deep, 24" high
The hinged cover with water marks heavy abrasions and wear there is a crack emerging to the left hand corner where the recess to the panel is, structure overall secure and sound, condition overall a little tired but commensurate with age, historic worm holes to the front legs and lower portions to the rear various, evidence replaced timbers through history, different colour, losses various, replaced latch and escutcheon lock etc, heavy wear and losses around the lower portions of the legs especially the rear, important please see detailed additional images as a guide.
