Gibson Barney Kessel hollow body electric guitar, made in USA, circa 1965, ser. no. 3xxxx1; Body: cherry sunburst finished figured maple body, light checking, light dings and other marks but generally very good for age; Neck: wear to back; Fretboard: rosewood; Frets: indent wear throughout; Electrics: working; Hardware: minor tarnishing but generally good; Case: original Selmer hard case in tired condition, contemporary protective case also supplied; Weight: 3.11kg; Overall condition: good

*Recently inherited by the family of the original owner. Photograph scans show the original owner with the guitar, playing with his band 'The Darrell Gibson Quintet'. The guitar was purchased from Selmer, London and comes with an original light tweed Selmer case with original Selmer strap

More Information

There is some fret buzz and the frets are significantly low towards the lower end. Although the guitar is perfectly playable. my preference would be a refret.
