Early 19th century English pocket chronometer signed Robert Pennington, London, no. 151, the fusee movement with spring detent escapement, plain balance cock with diamond endstone, free sprung helical hairspring and bi-metallic compensated balance with timing screws, modified hinged cuvette, signed and numbered dial with Roman numerals, minute track and subsidiary seconds, gilt hands, within a plain associated nickel case, 59mm; key
Movement - currently functioning, repaired August 2000 with new detent, spring and balance staff, further service January 2003 (no paperwork or receipts, information provided by the vendor), two movement securing pins missing.
Dial - good.
Glass - small surface chip to the very outer edge at the three position.
Hands - light surface marks.
Case - associated case, surface marks, the cuvette has been cut to allow the movement / balance cock to fit the case, the case also appears to have been modified to allow the fusee to fit the case - see images, two movement securing pins missing.
