Interesting English verge pocket watch bearing the signature Tompion, London, late 17th/early 18th century, gilt fusee movement signed Tompion, London, with pierced engraved balance cock and foot, flat steel balance, silver regulating disc and Egyptian type pillars, signed silver champlevé dial with Roman numeral chapter enclosing a scrolled engraved centre, single gilt hour hand, the silver case with a sliding cover winding hole, 47mm
Although signed Tompion, we are unable to confirm whether in fact this is by his hands, although very much in the style of, subject to personal opinion.
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - slightly loose - fixed on one pin and lifting slightly off the movement, light surface marks.
Glass - light surface marks.
Hands - hour hand appears good although loose.
Case - some mild tarnishing and bruising to the case sides. There are no hallmarks to the inside of the case.
