*Ex lot 533: The Guitar Auction, Gardiner Houlgate June 2022. Purchased by the then vendor in October 1994 having been offered the bass by Jeremy Parker, Mike Oldfield's former personal assistant.

Sold with a signed letter of authenticity from Tom Newman of Tom Newman Productions, confirming that this instrument was owned and used by Oldfield and can be seen in the videos for 'Shadow on the Wall', 'Pictures in the Dark', and 'Islands' from the Windchimes collection. See illustrations featuring the bass in these videos. The bass can also be seen behind Mike in a black and white still, as well as illustrated amongst a group of guitars within the 'Discovery' album sleeve.
