Cabrier, London - English 18th century silver and gilt metal quarter repeating pair case verge pocket watch, signed fusee movement with plunge repeat, sprung three-arm flat steel balance, pierced foliate balance cock and strapwork foot, gilt regulating disc and square baluster pillars, with hammers striking a bell to the inner case, enamel white dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute chapter, gilt spade hands, pierced and engraved inner case, finely re-gilded repoussé and pierced outer case depicting figures and a cupid within scroll designs, 51mm (the repeat function requires adjustment - see report)
Movement - the timepiece appears currently functioning, the hour strike is not activating correctly and requires adjustment, the quarters appear to be striking correctly.
Dial - visible damages and repairs - see image.
Glass - replacement glass, which sits a little loose in the bezel but acceptable.
Hands - surface marks.
Case - the inners case with light marks as expected, the outer case has been re-gilded with some evidence of hols to the centre which are partially disguised by the gilding, the catch not quite snapping shut correctly so minor adjustment required - see images.
