Late Victorian 18ct Centre Seconds Chronograph lever pocket watch, Chester 1897, gilt frosted three-quarter plate movement signed J.W. Keeley & Sons, London & Liverpool, Established 1790, Manuf' in Coventry by Jas Richardson & Son, Trade Mark Registered, no. 79775, with compensated balance and regulator, 18ct presentation hinged cuvette presented by the Windhill Cricket Club to Mr Robert Denison in July 1898, the dial with Roman numerals, minute track, 25/300 scale and chronograph centre seconds, within a plain case with chronograph slide at the two position, case maker 'JR' (Rotherham & Sons), 115.2gm, 52mm
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - light surface marks.
Glass - surface marks.
Hands - lacking minute hand, mild surface corrosion to the centre seconds.
Case - surface marks, some mild tarnishing around the stem, mild bruise marks to the rear cover and case sides, cuvette inscription reads 'Presented to Mr Robert Denison, By the members & friends of the Windhill Cricket Club, As a token of respect on his marriage, July 27th 1898'.
Crown - adjusting correctly, rubbing to the crown with loss of plating, chronograph lever requires attention as not functioning.
