*The complete boxed catalogue for the sale curated by Hilary Kay of Sotheby's, featuring a great quantity of Elton John's extravagant stage costumes, jewellery, Art Deco collection etc, including four volumes for the four day sale. This was the well publicised event recording Elton's decision to rid himself of the paraphernalia and extravagance of the previous two decades, celebrated in the visuals for the 1988 album Reg Strikes Back (released June 1988 and designed by David Costa) featuring a mass of mannequins wearing many of his most renowned stage costumes, many of which were to be sold later that year
