1960 Fender Custom Esquire electric guitar, made in USA, ser. no. 5xxx6; Finish: sunburst, heavy wear allover including lacquer checking, rubbing, buckle rash to back etc, patch of brown spray in the bridge pickup cavity, evidence of some spray / alteration to neck pocket, small repair to wood between neck pocket and pickup rout; Fretboard: rosewood; Frets: good, refret; Electrics: working, some wiring alterations, old screw holes in the neck pickup rout suggesting a neck pickup was once fitted, control cavity shaved in to the side suggesting another control plate was previously fitted (probably to allow for neck pickup electrics); Hardware: new top nut, correct tuners currently fitted (different tuners previously installed), volume knob possibly replaced, original rubber pickup spacers replaced with springs; Case: original hard case; Weight: 3.17kg; Overall condition: good for age
