Interesting early English violoncello of the Kennedy Workshop in need of restoration, unlabelled, the two piece back of plainish wood with faint medium curl to the sides and head, the table of a medium width grain slightly widening to the flanks and the varnish of a light reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 28 7/8", 73.30cm
Condition very poor with a sound post and other cracks on the table, evidence of some old worm infestation to the bottom centre of the lower bouts on the back, also slightly opening on the back centre join, later head, see images for guidance, personal viewing advised
