Oak eight day longcase clock, the 12" square brass dial signed Joseph Smith, Bristol on an arched plate to the matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, the case with long door fitted with a circular lenticle, the hood with two brass ball and spike finials over a flat moulded cornice with gilt metal pierced foliate frieze, 84" high (pendulum, two weights and keys)
The condition of this clock is generally poor, there is loss of silvering to the chapter ring, name plate and subsidiary seconds dial, there is some crackling on the dial plate, the top of the hood is in pieces and needs reassembling but all seems to be present including the finial and shown in the image, the case is in reasonable order with expected wear and tear for age.
