Good English second period hoop and spike brass lantern clock with balance wheel escapement, the 6.25" silvered chapter ring enclosing a foliate engraved centre signed Thomas Knifton at the (symbol for cross keys) in Lothbury, Londini fecit, with central alarm dial and single iron hand, surmounted by three foliate pierced frets, strapwork, bell and finial, 15.5" high (weight, front fret replaced, no pendulum)
Generally this clock appears in unrestored condition but personal viewing is advised to satisfy originality, the hook and spike are very rusted and the nut holding on the bell has ceased, see all images for guidance
