The hand written note from Eric Clapton appears on the inside back page of the proof manuscript and reads "fantastic book, lots of great colour photographs and tons of inside information. A must for all guitarists. Eric Clapton". This quote would then appear on the bottom right corner of the front cover of the published book. The copy of the book sold in this lot has a tribute from Tom to Alan on the inside front page. 

The enclosed Entwistle quote reads "I was pretty satisfied with my collection till I read this book, now I'm gonna start again from scratch! Thanks a lot, Tom".
