German VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe 'GUB' two-day marine chronometer, no. 7454, 3.5" silvered dial signed to the centre VEB Glashutter, Uhrenbetriebe, with fifty-six hour UP/DOWN dial over a subsidiary seconds dial, chain fusee movement with maintaining powers, spring detent escapement, compensated balance and helical hairspring, in a brass gimbal mount and within a hinged mahogany case with side carry handles, 7.25" (with chronometer winding key) (the movement requires repair)
The movement has an escapement fault spinning erratically so will require professional attention. Slight discoloration to the dial, hands slightly bent, the outer case with typical light surface marks - see images for general guidance
