** The artist was born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire and attended Eastbourne School of Art, being awarded a scholarship to the Royal College of Art, he was a long time member of the Royal Watercolour Society as well as the Royal Society of Painter-Print Makers, he taught watercolour courses at the Bankside Gallery, London
