1961 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, made in USA; Body: Fiesta red refinish, lacquer checking and other wear/relicing; Neck: mild wear to both edges, appears to have been refinished; Fretboard: rosewood slab board; Frets: mild wear, appear original; Electrics: working and appear original; Hardware: generally good and appear original; Case: original hard case; Weight: 3.53kg; Overall condition: good for age

Purchased by the vendor's father from Guitar Express, Newcastle upon Tyne on the 8th October 1986 and sold with a handwritten receipt of sale. The guitar is also sold with an original Shadows concert ticket from the 10th May 1977 at City Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne, together with the first few pages of The Shadows 'By Themselves' signed by Hank Marvin on page 8 and a coloured picture of The Shadows, also bearing an autograph. Also included in the sale is an original Selmer guitar strap
