*A. Guiot, also known as J. Guiot or Guyot, was a French luthier who worked in London during the mid-19th century. He was associated with the renowned guitar maker Louis Panormo, having worked for him around 1830 before setting up his workshop around 1840. The Panormo influence is clear, producing high-quality guitars in the Spanish style. Madame Sidney Pratten also used a Guiot guitar.
