** Thomas Gorsuch (or Gossage) a prominent Shropshire clock and watch maker was born in Shrewsbury in 1683. His surviving work also includes longcase clocks and a number of watches, many with mock pendulums or glass balance cocks as this example displays. He died and was buried in Shrewsbury in 1727.
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - clean condition..
Glass - light marks.
Hands - good.
Case - considered generally in good condition for the period with typical light marks and fractures as expected, small area of loss tot he button area - see images for general guidance.
