Good French double bass by and stamped Paul Claudot to the upper back below the button, the two piece back of birds eye maple and wild flame, with a faint fine width curl to the sides, the head of plainish wood, the table of a fine width grain and the varnish of a rich brownish-red colour on a golden ground, total length of back including button 46" approx and stop length 24" approx

*This fine quality double bass is in need of restoration and assembly but all principal parts appear present, see images for guidance, personal viewing advised.
There are also spare 2 ribs from another double bass  included in the lot

This violoncello is in need of restoration and assembly, there have been numerous old repairs undertaken to the table, back and ribs, the middle C-rib on the treble side is infested with worm, there does not appear to be any other serious worm infestation other than to the treble side middle rib illustrated, but please close in and review images provided or request further images if required, see numerous images both inside and outside for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible
